The ice, the snow, the sleet, the cold
Where did all these unpleasant elements go?
Am I free from this frigid tyranny?
Can I have some peace, if any?
What’s this I see?
Do my eyes deceive me?
The sun is shining
The birds are flying
The trees have green life
The lush grass glows bright
There are flowers everywhere
The last bit of snow is evaporating in the air
With all of this happening, I see
Mother Nature has given me some ease, finally
Terrible Winter, with its knees bent and head lowered
Spring has come, so it’s time to move forward
The ice, the snow, the sleet, the cold
Where did all these unpleasant elements go?
Am I free from this frigid tyranny?
Can I have some peace, if any?
What’s this I see?
Do my eyes deceive me?
The sun is shining
